April Outing – Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve
16 April @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Come along for a late afternoon/twilight walk through the woodlands of Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve. This is a special place, where re-introductions of species have occurred in a feral-proof fenced environment. After recent rain, the reserve is looking good. We will slowly walk along the Old Coach Road in the late afternoon for about an hour, then retrace our steps, diverting past the old woolshed, aiming to return to the car park before dark. Expect to see birds settling down for the night and wallabies grazing. If we’re very lucky, we might also glimpse a bettong or quoll in the half hour period between sunset and dark.

Time and Date: 4pm – 6pm approx, Thurs 16 April
Meeting Place: the Mulligans Flat car park, off Amy Ackman St, Forde
Walk Description: 2 – 4 km on relatively flat, wide gravel tracks, passing through woodland, open forest and grassland.
Bring: warm clothes and torch.
Leader: John Stein
Registration: to John, using the RSVP form on the right
NB. FNAC does not provide Personal Accident Insurance.
