August Outing – Bushfire walk at Aranda Bushland
This is a “Friends of Aranda Bushland” event. Kevin McCue, who is a member, has kindly invited interested Field Naturalists to attend.
Date and Time: Sunday, 2nd August, 9am – 11am
Meeting Place: Powerline Track (western trailhead), off Bindubi Street, Aranda.
Description: The walk will occur in a recently burnt area of the Aranda Bushland, and this burn will be assessed by fire ecologist, Dr Michael Doherty.
Leader: Michael Doherty
Bring: Sturdy footwear and a sharing plate for morning tea if you’d like (optional).

Insurance: Please note that FNAC does not provide Personal Accident Insurance. It is recommended that all participants on FNAC outings have Ambulance Cover in case of accident or sudden serious illness requiring urgent evacuation. Ambulance cover is often included with Private Health Insurance plans or it can be purchased separately.
