June Outing – Jarramlee pond, Dunlop

8 June @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come along to explore Jarramlee pond and the flow line that feeds it!

Start of the walk (Source: Google Maps)

The pond is in the suburb of Dunlop, just upstream of Ginninderra Creek and adjacent to Jarramlee–West MacGregor Grasslands Nature Reserve – a 145-hectare protected area on the north-western border of the ACT. The reserve extends from a small hill, Stony Knob, down to the minor floodplains of Ginninderra and Gooromon Ponds creeks. The grasslands form a large, contiguous habitat for threatened, grassland-dependent species such as the Golden Sun Moth that extends into neighbouring parts of NSW.
