Outings

Regular outings are organized for members to local places of natural history interest and occasionally, longer trips to more distant locations. Stories and photos from recent outings are posted below.

Outings are advertised on the calendar and on the list of upcoming events.  Non-members are welcome to attend up to three outings. If you wish to attend further outings, please consider joining the Association using the membership form here.

For insurance purposes, and to allow communication of any last-minute changes, please register your details with the Outings Coordinator using the RSVP form on each outing page. Anyone under 18 years of age should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Note that whilst we encourage members to explore, we ask that you take care to minimize disturbance to any plants or animals. Replace any rocks or logs you have moved and stick to tracks as much as possible. It is also good practice to check and clean your boots and other gear to avoid unwittingly bringing along weed  seeds, fungal spores or other exotic diseases (How to keep your gear clean in the wild – Invasive Species Council).
